Today, we are getting to know Gina Spinelli:
What is your role at Georgetown? How long have you been working here?
I am the admissions coordinator for our Executive MBA program. I’ve been with Georgetown McDonough for nearly two years.
What do you enjoy most about working in executive education?
I especially enjoy the relationships I’ve cultivated with our applicants. The caliber of the professionals that enroll in our programs is seriously impressive, and I feel proud to know I play a small role in helping them achieve their personal and professional goals.
What has been your favorite travel destination? What places remain on your bucket list?
It’s so hard to choose just one place! I think I would have to say either Iceland or Spain. Iceland is absolutely stunning and otherworldly. Spain was my first love, as it was the first country outside of the US that I ever visited, and also where I studied abroad in college.
I’d really like to visit Japan, among other bucket list destinations. I love Japanese cuisine and I’m sure my taste buds would be on cloud nine over there. Also, my dad lived in Japan for a little while and judging from the way he speaks about the country, I know it must be an amazing place.
I recently began a travel blog as an outlet to share my passion for travel and photography. I’m very excited about this new project, and I hope that others will find inspiration through my narratives and visuals.
